My name is Elaine and I have a 21-year-old daughter with Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus. We are originally from New York City, however, we relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL in the fall of 2004. Since our relocation, I have yet to find a support group for families with children or young adults with Spina Bifida in Broward County. That being said, I decided to start my own. I hope that this group encourages other parents to come forward and share their experiences with us. I personally know it’s not easy, at times confusing, and overwhelming. We can support, learn and guide each other.
